I was born and raised in New York City where I attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art. On nights and weekends I stayed busy making art, playing music, skateboarding and socializing with a talented and gifted group of friends. The experience of growing up in NYC gave me a unique worldly perspective that remains at the core of my creative process.

In the Fall of 1989 I attended Pratt Institute and soon after received my BFA from SUNY Purchase where I majored in painting. My professional career in graphic design began as a production assistant in the art department for Spike Lee's Clockers. I was thrilled to see how my contribution fit into the larger picture in support of the final product, our movie! When the film wrapped I dreamt of a profession where I could apply that same attention to detail and do my part in creating an experience. I looked for an assignment that renewed itself like the seasons and who’s cast of characters was spread across the globe.

I began my career in fashion as a Graphic Designer at the iconic American lifestyle brand Polo Ralph Lauren. There I studied the importance of brand identity in support of strong core product and conceptual fashion deliveries. A few years into my tenure I was given the opportunity to lead my first team of graphic designers at the recently launched Polo Jeans Company. In my fashion journey I have had the pleasure of designing for all genders and ages, our pets and the homes we live in for various brands including The Gap, American Eagle Outfitters, Theory, Liz Claiborne, Calvin Klein and J. Crew. During my tenure at J. Crew (2008 - 2015) I worked with Mickey Drexler and senior leadership to create brand identities for The Men’s Shop, J. Crew Baby, Point Sur Denim and Wallace & Barnes.

I currently hold the role of Vice President of Graphic Design for the Americas at Tommy Hilfiger. In this role I oversee a team of talented directors and designers that partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Production and Sourcing to maintain the brands identity across gender, age and product category for our retail, wholesale and licensed tiered channels of distribution. In addition to my responsibilities as Vice President I am also a Co-Chairperson of our Latinx Business Resource Group under the PVH global initiative for inclusion and diversity

My home is Washington Heights, where I live with my partner Christina and our daughter Luna. Our home is a beautiful turn of the century brownstone that has been in the family for years. Every corner restored and maintained by members of the family with my Father (a retired master carpenter) at the helm. In our library we are surrounded by a well curated collection of books, musical instruments, sculptures and family heirlooms. Our vinyl records are kept in the lounge where they are in constant rotation on the hi-fi but we spend most of the time in our 2 year old daughters playroom, where imagination flows and every childhood memory is renewed with new understanding.

Pre-pandemic, I traveled around the world performing and recording traditional Delta Blues and Gospel music under the name Brother Tito Deler. I’ve performed with various Mississippi bluesmen over the years such as R.L. Boyce, Little Joe Ayers, Jimmy "Duck" Holmes and Leo "Bud" Welch. Ive learned a lot from them and keep great memories of playing in various roots and blues festivals and jukes in the South. Aside from spending time in the Southern states I’ve toured the West Coast from Vancouver B.C. to Los Angeles and taken my style of Gospel Blues overseas to Tokyo and Amsterdam where I performed at the 2018 Ted Talks. My life in music has given me the opportunity of being a brand ambassador for PF Flyers, appearing on the cover of Mens File Magazine as well as being featured in various publications such as Jocks & Nerds London and Clutch Magazine Japan

The purpose of this site is to share a little bit about myself and showcase my brand building and design direction achievements throughout the years - this is my brand pedigree.
